Mô hình mẫu Cung điện Thủy tinh

Cung điện Thủy tinh đã được dùng làm mô hình mẫu cho vài tòa nhà triển lãm khác, bao gồm Cung điện Thủy tinh New York năm 1853, Glaspalast ở München năm 1854 và Palácio de Cristal tại Porto năm 1865.

Kiểu thiết kế của Cung điện Thủy tinh cũng đã gợi cảm hứng nhiều dự án xây dựng sau này như Infomart ở Dallas, Texas và khu mua sắm Eaton Center ở Toronto. Ga xe lửa Rewley Road của Oxford năm 1851 cũng dùng kỹ thuật xây dựng tương tự.
